Impact Measurement for Organizational Success

Jonathan and Wendy discussed the importance of measuring impact and its role in driving organizational success and employee engagement. Wendy shared her research findings and personal experiences, highlighting how the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the need for more effective impact measurement methods. They agreed to focus on practical strategies for leaders to demonstrate the meaningfulness of their work to employees, emphasizing the need for clear communication and evidence of impact to foster engaged and passionate workforces.


Real-World Impact Measurement System

Wendy discussed the development of a system to measure real-world impact and foster employee engagement without adding extra work for organizations. She explained that she designed both an analog method and a tech-based solution, with the latter being patent-pending, to make it easier for organizations to implement these practices. The goal was to demonstrate the simplicity of building such systems and ensuring that the benefits extend beyond internal engagement to include stakeholders.


Understanding Product Impact Dimensions

Jonathan and Wendy discussed the concept of impact, focusing on the ripple effects of products and services beyond their initial benefits. Wendy explained that real-world impact involves five components: initial impact, impact ripples, impact importance, causality, and the life areas affected. They emphasized the need to measure and understand these effects to enhance product development and innovation.


Real World Impact Metrics Launch

Wendy and Jonathan discussed the importance of measuring and demonstrating real-world impact in both healthcare and sales organizations. Wendy explained their technology solution, Real World Impact Metrics, which provides easy-to-use analytics and reporting capabilities to help leaders show employees the proof of their daily impact. The system includes a game for customers to identify their impacts and generates weekly reports that can be shared in 5-minute impact meetings. Wendy shared contact information and websites for more information about her book and the technology platform, which will officially launch next week.
