About the Journal:

Synthesis: The Journal of Integrated Business Studies is a multidisciplinary academic publication dedicated to advancing holistic approaches to business education, research, and practice. Our mission is to bridge traditional business silos by connecting researchers, educators, practitioners, and stakeholders in their efforts to address complex business challenges through integrated, cross-functional perspectives.

Synthesis publishes rigorously peer-reviewed articles, case studies, and pedagogical resources that showcase:

  • Empirical and theoretical research examining business problems through interdisciplinary lenses that transcend traditional functional boundaries

  • Evidence-based frameworks and methodologies that facilitate integrated approaches to business education and practice

  • Cross-functional scholarship that synthesizes insights from multiple business disciplines to develop comprehensive solutions

We prioritize work that demonstrates how the integration of diverse business perspectives—marketing, finance, operations, human resources, strategy, information systems, and more—leads to more robust business understanding and innovative solutions. Our aim is to provide a publishing space that encourages holistic thinking and breaks down the artificial barriers between business disciplines.

Through collaborative, cross-functional approaches, Synthesis amplifies business scholarship that transforms teaching, research, and practice to address complex organizational challenges and promote sustainable business innovation. We welcome submissions from researchers, educators, and practitioners across the full spectrum of business disciplines and related fields.

Synthesis aims to advance integrated business education and practice through the global exchange of empirically and theoretically grounded knowledge. Practitioner-oriented work, conceptual articles, rigorous academic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and original research exploring approaches for developing cross-functional business competencies are welcomed.

The journal provides a forum for the rapid dissemination of rigorously peer-reviewed case studies, evaluations, and commentary on contemporary issues relating to integrated business education, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the evolving nature of business in an increasingly complex global environment. Synthesis prioritizes work that demonstrates the value of integrated perspectives and promotes collaboration among diverse business stakeholders.

By bridging the divide between business disciplines, Synthesis amplifies scholarship and strategies that transform business education, research, and practice to address multifaceted organizational challenges and drive innovation. The journal welcomes diverse methodological approaches that shed light on effective models, integrative frameworks, and emergent trends in business.
