With technological advancements, it was already likely that we would see a continued shift towards more flexible and mobile virtual work in the coming decade. However, due to the impact of COVID-19, there appears to be an acceleration towards this shift. How does the shifting nature of work influence needed leadership and professional competencies? How do we engage and motivate an increasingly virtual workforce? Regardless of what the future holds, these are the types of questions leaders need to be asking and the discussions we need to be having now so that we are prepared for the future of work.
